Shavington Academy celebrates GCSE success for the Class of 2026
Pupils at Shavington Academy are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, marking an important milestone in their academic journey and the beginning of exciting next steps in further education, training and employment.
The Academy is proud to recognise the hard work, ambition and resilience shown by the Class of 2026. For pupils, GCSE results day is about much more than grades; it is an opportunity to reflect on the progress they have made, the challenges they have overcome and the personal qualities they have developed along the way. Their achievements reflect not only academic dedication, but also the support of families, the commitment of staff and the strong sense of community that sits at the heart of Shavington Academy.
Staff across the Academy are immensely proud of every pupil and their individual achievements. Particular congratulations go to Jacob L, Lily G, Holly C, Caleb E, Leyla N, Jackson D, Mia M, Ollie M, Dareen M and Felicity R, who each secured grades 9–7 in at least seven GCSE subjects.
Headteacher, Emma Casewell said:
“Today is a moment of real celebration for our pupils, their families and our whole school community. Every result represents a personal story of effort, determination and growth, and we could not be more proud of our young people who have shown such ambition, resilience and self-belief throughout their GCSE journey.
This cohort has faced challenges, embraced opportunities and continued to strive for excellence. Their results reflect not only academic success, but also the character that will carry them far beyond the classroom: kindness, courage, adaptability and the confidence to keep aiming high. They leave us with our very best wishes and with the knowledge that they have made Shavington Academy incredibly proud.
GCSE results are an important milestone, but they are only one part of each pupil’s story. What matters most is the person behind the grades: their dreams, their talents, their values and their potential. We are excited to see our pupils take their next steps with pride and optimism, and we have every confidence that they will continue to make a positive difference in the world around them.”
As pupils now prepare to move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, training and other exciting pathways, Shavington Academy wishes every member of the Class of 2026 continued success. The Academy looks forward to hearing about their future achievements and is confident that they will carry forward the values, confidence and determination they have developed during their time at Shavington.
